Cinema Stereo Headlining Show in Dallas, TX

Cinema Stereo, a classic rock band from Nashville, Tennessee are on their first ever headline tour across the states. For fans of bands like Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, & Måneskin, they have a sound that takes you back to the 70’s-80’s time period of the most iconic rock and roll bands.  Ian Rayha as the lead singer/keyboardist/bassist, Sebastian Borysek on lead guitar, Luke Pate on drums, and their newest guitar player, Will Sawyer.

I recently saw them play at Three Links in Dallas, Texas. I have to say, I am appreciative of bands like Cinema Stereo who look at rock and roll the way they do. Their sound has a new yet classic feel that I see myself putting on full blast when I’m on the road. Their chemistry on stage is undeniable, which added to their performance as they cranked it up more with each song. Each song they played felt unique, energetic, and full of life. They were very smiley & looked happy to be there. They made me feel like I wasn’t in the present time, they managed to make the room feel like a magical time machine, their groove on the instruments sounded insane.

“Don’t Wanna Stay Up… Unless It’s With You,” is their latest new single, and this one evoked an 80’s feel. I haven’t seen many new bands with this kind of music, so it was very refreshing to hear. I was truly mesmerized, there wasn’t a single second where I wasn’t hooked.

At one point, Ian showed us another one of his many talents as he sat down and played the keyboard for “Ride This Thing Out” (a personal favorite). I witnessed with my own eyes this man not only sing, play the guitar, but also play the keyboard all within the span of 40 minutes. That is a lot to keep up with - the extent of his talents is extraordinary. When these guys got on that stage, with Luke going ballistic on drums, Will & Sebastian hitting riff after riff on the guitar, they made the room rumble. They played a few killer unreleased songs, which I wasn’t able to get the names of, but they will be releasing hopefully soon.

There’s one thing for sure - their stage presence is undeniable - and I’m convinced Sebastian is able to play the guitar in his sleep with how talented he is. He was very enthusiastic, every fret he let out was electric. Ian was very interactive, at one point, towards the end, he got down close to the crowd & made everyone sing back the lyrics to “No One Needs Your Love (Like I Do).” He wanted everyone in that room to be involved. I’m a little concerned on why this band isn’t getting enough attention, but I have no doubts that their audience will definitely keep on growing.

If you enjoy groovy classic rock music, Cinema Stereo is definitely for you. I can’t wait to see their future projects. They are bringing back classic rock, this band is 100% worth checking out!
