‘The Cursed Tour’ with Paleface Swiss
Paleface Swiss has an energy that no one can resist, especially a sold out crowd at New York City’s Gramercy Theatre. The band is currently on the Cursed tour, named after their 2025 album.
Opening the show was Nasty, a Belgian hardcore band. Nasty created an infectious enthusiasm amongst everyone in the audience, with the singer jumping onto the barricade to sing with the fans. Their set created a standard for the show, one that declared that every fan was going to spend their time jumping and dancing to their heart’s content.
Following Nasty was Stick to Your Guns, a band from Orange County, California. Stick to Your Guns shared their history and their extensive time as a band created an incredible set. Zelli, Paleface’s singer, later explained that both Nasty and Stick to Your Guns had given Paleface the opportunity to open for them years before, and that they were chosen as support for their musical merit, but also as a thanks for believing in the band early on. Stick to Your Guns performed with an incredible excitement, and they show a clear investment in what they do. They’re a can’t-miss show for the music, but also for the amount of spin-kicking and moshing during every single song.
The final band of the night was Paleface Swiss, and their show was jaw-dropping. From the first moment they stepped onstage, it was clear that everyone in the band was going to give it their all. Even with an hour and 15-minute long set, they never lost any energy, and the crowd didn’t either. The venue was packed so tight that no one could even move, with a dedicated fanbase from the barricade to the doors. Not only was the music incredible, but Paleface also made sure to call their shows a safe space for people regardless of outside discrimination. Anyone who wasn’t a fan before surely left the venue as one. With a mix of emotional ballads and energetic moshing hits, their setlist is well-rounded, and their show is a must-see. Paleface Swiss is a new guaranteed ticket for me any time they come to town.
