Porter Robinson at Red Rocks Amphitheatre

On October 16, Porter Robinson played at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, one of the  most famous outdoor music venues that's known for its great acoustics. Going into the Smile :D tour with headlining artist Porter Robinson with support from ericdoa, I wasn't sure what to expect due to it being my first time attending and listening to Porter Robinson’s music.

The mixed genre of music from ericdoa and Porter Robinson really brought both fan bases together which created a mixed audience in the crowd of different ages. Everyone seemed excited for both artists as they performed. I really enjoyed how his set was longer than the usual live concert show someone can attend.

The first half of Robinson’s show was him showing some of the work from his recent album Smile! :D. His stage design was memorable by showing pink colors and an anime aesthetic which resembles his album. Robinson was backed by live instruments such as guitar, piano, drums, and more,  which made every song sound amazing and different to what you see from other shows with this type of music. There was also a confetti blast during the beat drop on "Russian Roulette," in which paper hearts rained over the crowd.

This show was amazing overall. I really enjoyed my time even though It was my first time listening to his music. It was a positive experience overall and the fans were all so welcoming. I would definitely recommend going to one of his shows if you're into hyperpop/electropop or into EDM. This would be a good show to attend and just have a good time listening to the wonderful songs Porter Robinson has to offer. Overall, this has been one of the best shows I have been to this year.
