Conan Gray “Found Heaven” In Philadelphia, PA
On October 1, 2024, Conan Gray had fans feeling all the emotions and having a great time at the Philadelphia stop of his tour for his new album, Found Heaven. The album was released in April 2024, with “Found Heaven On Tour” being announced in March 2024. Opener Maisie Peters joined Conan for the first leg of the tour in North America.
Maisie Peters played a fun, energetic set that really got the crowd hyped up. There were many fans singing her songs, wearing her merch, and holding up signs in support of her. Having an opener that draws in an audience the way Maisie did is super fun and always lifts spirits and encapsulates the crowd even more. Maisie talked about how she and Conan have been friends for years and have been subscribed to each other on YouTube since 2015!
She opened her set with, “You’re Just A Boy (And I’m Kinda The Man),” and, of course, closed her set with hit songs, “History of Man,” and “Lost the Breakup.” Her song, “The Band And I,” even mentions the city of Philadelphia, which caused an uproar from the crowd. Each show, Maisie has added a surprise song, and Philadelphia fans got lucky enough to hear “Holy Revival.”
Conan Gray’s set started with a giant curtain covering the stage that was black and had a huge white star. As the opening song, “Fainted Love,” started playing, the curtain dropped to reveal Conan on a platform center stage. Conan has such a genuine and confident stage presence that fans just can’t look away from.
He played nine songs from his most recent album, including title track “Found Heaven,” as well as hits like “Never Ending Song,” “Lonely Dancers,” “Boys & Girls,” and “Winner.” Fans were also thrilled to hear other hits such as “Wish You Were Sober,” “The Exit,” “People Watching,” “Memories,” and, of course, “Heather.” Conan played “The Story,” during an acoustic portion of the set. He followed it with an unreleased song, called “Holidays,” that also featured an acoustic guitar and some whistling.
He closed his set with a 3-song encore, made up of, “Bourgeoisieses,” “Maniac,” and “Alley Rose.” The encore had a little bit of everything and was a great way for the crowd to dance out the end of the show. Every show, Conan wears a silly tank top to make fun of himself for having a song, “Bourgeoisieses,” that’s a little tricky to spell. For the Philadelphia show, his shirt read, “BOOGIEYOISEESAYS.” During a high note in the final song, “Alley Rose,” a confetti cannon painted the sky with red, yellow, and some blue confetti that featured Conan’s iconic shape of a star in a teardrop.
Conan Gray touring his newest album release, Found Heaven, in Philadelphia, PA on October 1, 2024, brought a great time to fans who got to experience his excellent stage presence and meaningful songs live. Fans were cheering and dancing from the beginning of the show until the very end. With nine shows left in the first leg of the tour, anybody would have a great time attending this tour and I definitely recommend getting out there to see a show.
