Dayglow: The Tour - Dayglow with Support From Sun Room in Washington D.C.

It all began two years ago when Dayglow last visited our nation’s capital. Since then, Dayglow has left a big impact as D.C. has been yearning for his return. On Friday, October 4th, 2024, their wishes are granted as the pop-indie singer/songwriter celebrates the release of his self-titled album with an exhilarating yet unforgettable night in their sacred home. Along with his adoring fans, Dayglow is joined by the band Sun Room as they bring a wonderful night to the Anthem.

Dayglow is a pop-indie singer/songwriter based in Texas. From as early as 2018, he has become fairly popular for his hits “Can I Call You Tonight” and “Run The World.” Since then, Dayglow has toured the world warming the hearts of many fans with his soft vocals, eccentric instrumentation, and upbeat, feel-good vibes.

Sun Room is a surf-rock group based in Southern California. Formed in 2020, Sunroom has caught the attention of many fans with their nostalgic instrumentation, relatable lyrics, and jangly guitars. With songs such as “Sol Del Sur” and “Sunset Garage,” Sunroom has been able to express their authentic narratives in a vibrant setting.

The show began at 8:15 as fans cheered for Sun Room's arrival. With the use of vibrant lighting and killer instrumentation, they quickly became a crowd favorite. They sang a variety of songs from their discography including “Crashed My Bike”,  prepping the fans for their exciting night ahead.

Shortly after their set, Dayglow entered the room with “Junior Varsity” as he was immediately drowned in love and cheers. Throughout his set, he filled the venue with infectious positivity and heartfelt melodies using a variety of songs from his previous albums such as “Fuzzybrain”, “Harmony House” and “People in Motion”. As the show progressed, what felt most special to me was their guitar solos throughout each song. Each song incorporated a guitar solo that not only blew away many fans but created such an intimate and authentic version to the music we already know and love.

Like all good things, the night came to an end as he closed his set with “Run The World”, leaving many fans feeling empowered. Although the night passed, its memories left a mark of fulfillment and eternal gratitude among fans.
